Here is a simple overview of what to expect in the process we call "The four Ds":

Discovery

In this initial stage we gain a comprehensive understanding of the client's needs and vision. Here, the scope of the project is clearly defined through research and a thorough understanding of our client's industry, all supported by a working knowledge of the competition's work.

Design

Using the analogy of building a house, this stage is the "blueprint" portion of the project's process. There are three main components to designing a site with our clients:

Functionality (Scope of Work): We will define how the site will work and the integration of various features.
User Interface (UI): This is the website's usability, navigation functionality, and how content and imagery will be displayed.
Site Sketches: The client is presented with a series of mock-ups or draft sketches which represent the look and feel the site will have when it is functional.

This would be the time you may want to change the location of a "room," a feature or other component of your Website "house." At this point in the project building process, changes can be with minimal effort.

Development (Code)

Here, the framing begins as the "walls" of your house are constructed. You have a framework for your website, but it remains vacant as we assure browser compatibility and make sure feature sets and various applications run smoothly and work together.

Deployment

In this last stage we put in content and add final technical details. This is where a great deal of client input is important as we make your site everything you need and want it to be. Construction of your house will be completed, with everything built and ready for moving in and getting the furniture in place. Lastly, the site goes live, and you are ready to invite and welcome your clients and visitors.
